Welcome back.    From reading student's Journals some of you had did some great things over the break.

Today got back into the school groove by writing in our Journals.  Students had the choice of one of three topics.  After recess we reactivated the Math side of our brains with a review from the textbook.   It included a variety of topics we have already covered this year and is a good preparation for the EQAO to refresh things we may have forgotten.

After lunch, Lorna started to explore the idea of "point of view."    We read "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs."  It told the story from the big bad wolf's perspective.    We will then move into writing from other points of view. This will be challenging, but it can also be fun.

We then studied for our Lesson 24 spelling test, took the test and had the new words for lesson 25.

Last period, we worked on Social Studies, and looked at the division of work in a pioneer family.  The class is divided into 5 different families.  Each family is from a different part of the world and will be practicing seeing things from that families perspective.
