Wednesday November 2 Day 1

We have had a busy few days already.   We worked very hard yesterday and today putting the finishing touches on our dances that we worked on in our workshops.   Over the last few days we have had 5 half day classes on dance and movement.   We explored many concepts of dance and experimented with a variety of different movements.    We learned about the elements of dance.   We created our own moves, we followed the moves of our instructor Jessica.    We even choreographed our own routines in groups.   Have a look at the finished dances below.   They were fantastic.

When we returned to class after lunch we had a "lice check" and then Mr. Greenwald taught us a lesson on measuring in centimetres, and how to look carefully using a rule to make sure you start measuring at 0!
Afterwards we created our temperature graphs for November.  This time we drew our own axis and created the graphs following the teachers example.  We are getting really good at creating and remember the parts of graphs.
After recess we were the audience for the dance creations from the other Grade 3 class.  When we returned to class we read a chapter from "Mr. Stink".

HOMEWORK:  Read.
Reading Response:  focus on making connections and explaining why you are making
the connection   eg,  This reminds me of .... because.....
