We started the day off in the gym with Mr. McCain.
When we returned to class we had our agendas checked, graphed the temperature and then did Math. Half the class did a subtraction review and half the class did a review of geometry concepts, focusing on attributes of shapes with a focus on parallel sides and the lengths of sides of polygons.
After recess Mr. Greenwald, did a lesson on using metres to measure. We learned there were 100cm in 1m. We then measured various objects in the class, using what we know about centimetres and metres.
After lunch Mr. Greenwald did a Social Studies lesson on how we use land differently in urban and rural areas. We also learned that many of the foods we eat come from rural areas and are brought into the city for us. We are consumers and the farmers that grow food and raise animals are producers. The class then cut out food from flyers and looked at what type of animal or farm that food came from.
We then worked on our newspaper articles trying hard to focus and complete the rough copy of our article.
After recess, we had a Spelling test and had a few minutes to work on the alphabetical order and sentences.
HOMEWORK: Read.
