I was absent Thursday and Friday and sadly missed Mr.G 's last day and the dance-a-thon. We got right back into the swing of things by graphing the temp. and reading the morning message.
We then did our journal with success criteria focusing on indenting paragraphs, watching capital letters and trying to use challenging vocabulary.
We then looked at three dimensions and each table group built structured that were to fit certain dimensions. After recess we reviewed rhombus and parallelograms as they were causing some confusion.
After lunch we started looking at another form of writing, advertisements. We looked at font, colour graphics and target audience. What get attention what didn't .
We then copied our lesson 11 words into our word work books. I will post them tomorrow.
I read with a literacy group while others did the daily five, read to self, word work or writing.
