We really had to work on organizing our ideas and not jumping back and forth with ideas while writing.
We then did some Geometry and learned about the quadrilateral and parallelogram.
We looked at the definitions and then drew examples of each.
quadrilateral: a shape with four sides and vertices
paralleogram: a four sided shape with opposite sides parallel
We should be able to sort shapes by different qualities and know that a square, for example, is a rectangle, a quadrilateral and a parallelogram. We will continue to explore this further in the upcoming weeks.
After recess, we worked writing about our photographs. Students completed their rough copies, and then highlighted their mistakes. I assisted with their editing before beginning the final draft.
After lunch we completed our art. It was great that our art included examples of parallel lines and circles and it related to our geometry lesson.

HOMEWORK: Math: Find 10 or more examples of quadrilaterals at home.
If you can find examples other than squares and rectangles that would be good.
Read daily.
Some students still havent finished Word Work from this week and was sent home again!!
